There's going to be a creative writing contest for children (anyone 14 and under). The only real guidelines to what you have to write is that it has to be about "Dream Power".
The winners get to be posted in an anthology!!!! Plus you get an ipod and stickers and things. I am definitely going to try to do it. The deadline is October 31, 2009, so we have all of summer and a little extra.

ReplyDeleteWow, that contest is perfect for you! Have you read that book, The Dark Dreamweaver? If you haven't, I would recommend doing so, since the author is one of the judges. Good luck, and I look forward to reading your entry!
ReplyDeleteI bought it and attempted to read it, but I didn't find it that interesting. I'm having troubles deciding on what to write, but so far I have a few ideas around half way through. I might even use some of my existing writing and touch it up a bit.

I just stumbled upon your blog, and I'm very impressed with your writing. I just published my first novel by writing a little every day (mostly on the train) for a year. Keep it up, give yourself permission to write even when you don't like what you're writing (that's what editing is for!), and definitely enter that contest!
